Welcome back!

We took the summer off but are glad to announce the Winter Watlington 10k Run will be taking place on Sunday December 10th at 10:30.

It's a challenging 10K cross country/fell race in the chiltern hills with 95% of the course off road so be prepared for some mud, rocks and roots.

Post race free glass or beer or wine at the Fat Fox pub in Watlington, just bring your race bib to claim yours. Registration is at the Fat Fox pub and opens at 08:30.

The start is a good 10 minute walk away so allow plenty of time to park, get registered and get to the start. Parking at Icknield Community College, Love Lane, Watlington - 5 minute walk to the pub or at public car park at bottom of Hill Road - 2 minute walk to pub.

Bag drop at start finish please don't leave kit at the pub.

The race route will be marked and marshalled at key junctions but no water station until the finish and no distance markers.

Watlington XC 10k Winter Run Sunday 13th November 2016
New Race registration and control base - Please come to the Fat Fox to register and pick up race numbers. Registration from 9:00 Race begins at 10:30

PARKING: AT THE SCHOOL (LOVE LANE) AND PUBLIC CAR PARK AT THE BOTTOM OF HILL ROAD (early birds can park at the pub)

THE START HAS ALSO MOVED AND IS STILL is a good 5 minute walk from registration so please allow yourself plenty of time.

PLEASE NOTE:THERE WILL BE NO FIRST AIDER ON DUTY FOR THIS RACE

Our course is pretty challenging with two significant climbs and two equally enjoyable descents.

Trail/Fell shoes recommended unless the ground is bone dry.

All runners can claim a free pint or glass of wine at the Fat Fox Inn, Watlington after the race.

Summer 2014 run results!

Thanks to all who took part and our brilliant Marshals and volunteers without whom we could not put on the run. With over 150 runners and the adoption of some new registration/timekeeping technology we had to delay the start so apologies for that and you will be relieved to hear that Murray has purchased his own bodyweight in safety pins for the Summer run! Upcoming race dates will be found on this blog and you can also post a comment, good, bad but hopefully not ugly, we can only improve the run with your feedback. Happy Christmas everyone!

RACE DATES!
We will be holding the inaugural WATLINGTON SKYLINE 10 MILE run on SUNDAY 27th OCTOBER starting at 11.00 at the Sports Pavillion. It's a beautiful run climbing steeply up into the Chilterns then holding the line of the ridge before finally swooping back down to the Ridgeway and back to the finish. Also our WINTER 10K will be held on SUNDAY 1st DECEMBER at 10.30 from the Pavillion. Both events can be found online at RUNNERSWORLD. Look forward to seeing you there!
