THANKS! To all of you who took part in Sundays run, especially the volunteers who manned registration, car parking, timing and on course marshalling. The weather was perfect and i hope all runners enjoyed the event as much as i did. Results will be posted here within the next 24hrs.

For those of you who have been accidentally left off our mailing - this is a reminder not to miss this year’s Winter race on Sunday morning December 2nd at 10.30

 The route is unchanged with the same challenging hill climbs and scary-fast descents

The only extra this year is a free beer in the Fat Fox, Watlington after the race. Just bring along your race number to me in the pub after the race and a pint of vital rehydration will be yours.

Race entry fee is just £5.00 so even in these austere times we hope this won’t put you off!

A huge thanks to all runners and volunteer marshalls on Sunday. What a great race!
The winning times were; Fastes male R. Kemp at 42.28 and Fastest female Mary Spalton at 48.06 (Current womens record holder). A full list of results will be available tonight on this blog. We hope you enjoyed the run, here's a quote from one of our runners;

" Thanks for putting on today's race, it has to rate as one of the best trail races I've done! It's events like this that I run for, the whole route is tremendous and the final descent...wow! I've never run a downhill like that before, brilliant, I'm still smiling now in spite of the post race aches! Please thank all your team for their invaluable efforts, without the team we couldn't put races on.

We are thinking about organizing a 1 mile downhill dash on the final descent down to the Ridgeway. Test runs indicate a time of 5 mins 30 is hard to beat. It's fast, fun and offers a high likelihood of personal injury!Who's up for it?
